What's new in Frames X v2.3

Hey there! 👋 We are excited to announce and share the release of Frames X 2.3. This major update introduces new components, layouts, and a polished variable structure. This release is focused on improving your work with dashboards, tables, and other data-driven interfaces.

The new release also introduces a more granular way to structure variants across the system. This new approach aims to help you operate and update variant sets faster.

New variables structure and updated documentation

We've moved spacing variables outside of the Theme collection. Spacing variables are now a standalone Sizing collection that includes compact and spacious modes. We've also updated the scoping of variables, making only the correct variables appear on the needed elements. We've also updated our variables documentation and added more use-case examples.

New color style guide

We've added a new color guide to visualize better the colors used in the current theme/file. This new piece of documentation is intended to help you share and identify currently employed colors and see the big picture without visiting local variables menus.

You can find the new style guide on the Colors page.

New layouts and improvements to the site builder

We've added 48 new responsive layouts in the Blog and Faq categories. We've also revamped the Features, Social Proof, and Hero sections with new elements and improvements. Thanks to optimized element grouping, expect smoother resizing and better runtime when working with all website blocks.

New widget component

We've added 51 highly customizable widgets. New widget components aim to display complex data from multiple sources in a compact card view that can be added to a dashboard or web application. Widgets come with predefined controls and provide support for multiple variant sizes. See the new widget component with new variables in action.

New sales dashboard and updated templates

We've added a new Sales dashboard and significantly revamped previously added dashboards utilizing new components and widgets. This included the Repository, Reports, Analytics, Kanban, Account, Settings, and File Manager templates. These dashboards are now even more responsive and functional.

Redesigned variant sets

We've updated our variant sets with a better, more granular approach. We've partitioned bigger variants into more compact, manageable sets, allowing for more comfortable customization and adoption. Tabs, Menus, Dropdowns, and Modals now include partitioned sets with polished component properties and layer structure.

We've also reworked all the tables in the file and removed unused instances from table cells, making them smoother to use.

New file uploader component

We've added a new file uploader component to help integrate file upload functionality into other UI components.

Updated charts

We've updated pie and donut charts with new semi-circular diagrams to enrich your designs.
